For those of you that want to hide these adverts, you can easily do so through the in-app settings. Still, you may not want to see adverts at all. At some point though, Brave needs funding, and this one of the most user-friendly ways it can get it. This is especially important for users that don’t want to take part in the Brave Rewards scheme, which allows vetted ads to be displayed on webpages, in return for a small amount of cryptocurrency. While you may not be a massive fan of the adverts, they represent a non-intrusive way for the project to receive funding. Note: As a free browser that doesn’t actively mine your browsing data, Brave has limited ways in which it can make money.
